The theoretical basis of this paper is the PRED interaction in regional or inter regional time space scales. The factors that restrict regional social and economic development are very different in different regions because the PRED relationships have their own natures in the social and economic activities of various regions. The nature of regional sustainable development lies in the way to harmonize their internal relations and to approach the goal of rational allocation among population, material, energy and information flow in PRED process. This is the essential to Human Nature relationship. This paper take the Human Nature system as the theoretical basis. At first, the author studies the work beginning with the perception process, structure, function, dynamic evolution of Human Nature relationships. Secondly, the mechanism of regional PRED coordination and theoretical models and methods of regional sustainable development are discussed. Thirdly, the author inquire into the theoretical study of system regulation.

Model system is the most important part of the DSS. The key point of Decision Support System for Economic Development and Environmental Protection is that the change of the environment is caused by the economic development. Analyses show that different policy systems bring different economic state, and different economic states result in different environmental state characters. Firstly, according to the principle, the model system shows the policy classification including object layer, decision layer and state layer. Secondly, the logic model between economic development and environmental protection is introduced. For the more, the main models are put forward on three levels including assessment model, analysis model and decision model. At the end of the paper, the structure of the DSS and the running process of the model are displayed.

The change of greenhouse gases and its contribution to climate change, as well as impact of climate change on geographical distribution of crops in China and in the world are analyzed in the paper. Temperature will increase notably when CO 2 concentration double the present and the trend will be more obvious in northern China. This paper reviewed the influence of climate change on paddy, wheat and maize in different part of China. Adaptive strategy for different types of agricultural production and agro ecosystem in China was given, and diminution strategy such as controlling the discharge of greenhouse gas was also discussed. They include: (1) the strategies and measures of slowing down greenhouse gases discharge, further divided into non industry and industry gases let out. For example, to increase the coverage of vegetation and to control grassland degradation and desertification are non industry methods. And retarding the industry gases let out or traffic vehicles gases discharge belongs to industry method. (2) The adaptive strategies after the greenhouse gases increase include adjusting land use and plant system, improving the agricultural ecological conditions and so on.

By the remote sensed data (TM 1∶250000) in 1986 and 1996, the agricultral land use change and the regional differences in Hulunbeier Distract were discussed and analyzed. Further, the spatial change law of the arable land use in Hulunbeier District was analyzed by calculating the change of the gravity center of the arable land in the past ten years. On the basis of the results, the impact of land use change on rural agricultural sustainable development was discussed in the respect of economic effects, ecological effects and social effects. The result indicates:\;(1) The agricultural land use changed rapidly in the past ten years. The arable land increased and the grassland decreased.\;(2) The spatial change of the agricultural land use is also very notable; the gravity center of arable land moved 33.15km towards northwest.\;(3) The arable land use change in the past ten years is very useful to reasonable land use and rural agricultural sustainable development of Hulunbeier District.

As everybody knows, the foreign direct investment (FDI) is now the main motive force of world economy. As a developing country, China goes quickly and becomes the second largest country in the world in absorbing FDI. By contrast, there is only a little investment coming from China in the international capital market. Shanghai, the largest city in China, has the same situation as whole country. That does not match the functional position of Shanghai as an important international economic, financial and trade center. Shanghai must develop FDI to make it a center of Chinese multinational companies. There are some articles on the FDI of China and most of them are the macroscopic explanation at the national level. This paper pays more attention to Shanghai’s FDI. The internal law of industrial structure and investment location of Shanghai’s FDI are mainly analyzed in the paper. The location models of Shanghai’s FDI are summed up also. Compared with South Africa the successful experience and existing problems of Shanghai’s FDI are detailed introduced in detail. The characteristics of the paper is the combination of economy and geography.

There are 129 developing regions of country’s level and 584 of provinces’ level in China. Their total planning area is about 8 000 km\+2 and their developed area is about 1 500 km\+2. This paper briefly narrates the basic characteristics of Chinese developing regions as abundance of sorts, largeness in quantity and scale, centralized distribution along the sea, boundary and rivers; further summarizes their characteristics in the land development, which are taking expropriating the agricultural as their principal part with re construction of old cities as the second choice; taking impropriating the arable land as its principal part with developing all kinds of desolate mountainous areas and desolate land as the second choice; firstly expropriating then beginning to develop and taking the expropriated area large and using efficiency small as its characteristics. It concludes the four sorts of developing regions: development of arable land, re construction of old cities, development of intertidal zone, islands and desolates mountainous areas and lands. It analyzes the arising problems of irrationality of layout, leaving arable land unused, remising price low and management confusedly, and finally puts forward the countermeasures of managing uniformly the construction land of developing regions, changing the quomodo of economical increase and improving the efficiency of use and output of land.

The ecological environment of longevity villages was investigated in Zhangxia town, Changqing county, Shandong province. The samples of eco environmental materials, including from rock to soil, drinking water, grain, vegetables and hair have been collected, and determined their life elements concentration. The comparitive study on life elements content in eco environmental materials in longevity villages with that in control villages was made in order to explore the relation between environment factors and longevity. The result was shown that there are obvious environmental characteristics in longevity villages of Zhangxia town: (1) The natural environment is good and the human environment is propitious in these villages. The weather is warm and it is very suitable for human being living. The hill is green and the water is clean in stream. The air is fresh, because there are few pollutants in sky. The prevailing custom is good in the villages, people have respect for old persons and love for young. They all live happy; (2) The drinking water is got from springs with good quality. The concentration of H 2SiO 3 in the spring is high. Si can prevent heart diseases for the elder persons, and protects their health; (3) Se content is high in most materials of environmental eco system in longevity villages. Se is the component of GSH-px. GSH-px can eliminate peroxide in body which can harm the normal structure of cell, so that GSH-px can protect the normal physiological function of cell. The result is that the decrepit process of human body is delayed; (4) There are rich minerals in wood-fish stone (a metamorphic sandstone) in longevity villages. It is used for making various tea utensils. There are various life elements in wood-fish stone. The essential life elements will be dissolved into tea water slowly and slowly when making tea by that tea utensil. So that it increase the intake of life elements in human body. Among those life element, Se, Zn and Li have the function of preventing heart diseases and against decrepit.
