Research on Extended-Fractal Based Automatic Map Generalization

摘要: 源自地学的分形学不仅广泛地应用于多得难以想象的学科,已成为一种新的方法论。然而分形学到底能为人们提供多少信息、有什么样的局限、如何与其它科学方法结合应用等,是本文研究的主线。文中在作者研究扩展分维的基础上,对扩展分维在地图信息自动综合中的应用问题进行了原理性的探讨。

关键词: 多尺度空间数据库, 分数维, 扩展分数维, 自动综合

Abstract: The Fractal method, which is originated from geo-sciences, has been widely applied in various sciences and disciplines. This paper, however, concentrates on the essence of its application, i.e. , how much information it can provide for us, what limit it has, how it can be combined with other methods, in map generalization. Several issues related to the application of Extended Fractal in automatic map generalization is expounded.
